I really love doing freehand tattoos. Working with a loose marker sketch gives me a lot of freedom. I am fortunate to have apprenticed under someone who specialized in freehand work. These tattoos are always a surprise for both myself and the client. We never really know what the final product will be. I am so thankful for my wonderful trusting clientele.
A fun start
This started as a half sleeve two years ago. Yesterday we started the process of making it a full sleeve. Just a couple hours of work so far. It is always fun revisiting old tattoos and adding to them.
Some progress on this vulture tattoo. Last time we colored the belly button solid black. It healed great. Next session I’ll draw his other foot and finish the wings.
Freehand owl in progress.
In progress freehand tree
A double sleeve project in progress. Two old sleeves have been lasered off. We have outlined two new sleeves to cover remaining scars. I drew them on with marker to make sure we had a good fit and were able to cover little bits of the old tattoos that were still visible.
